July 13th - Jimmy Bower
Off to Baltimore. Club Otto, small, but a killer vibe. Reminded me of the RC Bridge Lounge in New Orleans, kind of. Lots of familiar faces, and God, what a hot night. I feel we delivered. It was pretty fuck'n loud, man. Tons of diving and just a great show. Sherman from Earthride was there and some other friends. Baltimore has always been considered the capital of doom. People here really know their music, and I respect the tightness of their scene. Just seems like people take care of each other around here. That don't happen always. Had 2 days off in Baltimore and got a chance to visit Wino and hear his new band, The Hidden Hand. This band is going to do good, I feel. Heavy as fuck with crazy, crazy Wino style riffs. Say no more. Tomorrow we play Jaxx in Springfield, VA. Always a pleasure and a good time. Hopefully, that will be the same for us. Til then….

Well, we made it and this club is cool. The Orange Peel is run by friends of ours from New Orleans. Ashville is one of the most beautiful towns around. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, it's just amazing. Spent the day checking out the town and eating good food. Hooked up with some really good grass, which was well needed. Around 400 freaks showed up and gave their all. The more we played, the crazier they got. Played new stuff, old stuff, just a good, good show. Not bad for our first time there. Anyway, we accommodated very well, I believe. I took some shit that's going to put me out, but thanks to everyone in Ashville. Ya'll remind us of home with a nice, small town attitude. Hope to be back soon. Til then….

Just woke up. Ever wake up with an unidentified amount of congestion, but you know it's bad. That's today. We're at Johnson City, TN. Now let me start by saying I have no fuck'n clue where Johnson City is, much less what to expect. Not too hot today, actually a breeze. After sound check and a morning baking out, we got a chance to be bored, eat, hang out, then finally, the sun went down. We had a lot of expectations for this show because of the message board. Seems people couldn't believe we were coming. Not true. We showed up and it seems the rest of the state decided to come too. God, what a show! 850+ people, and hot as hell. Played as long as we could, even new stuff. The crowd was great. Imagine a controlled riot. That was last night. We were on fire, and so were our fans. The word on Superjoint is spreading and we thank you. Everyone. After smoking with fans, off to Ashville, NC. Cool town, can't wait. Til then….

Charleston, SC, great coastal town. Lots of old buildings and a history to boot. The name of the club is called Memphis Blues Cafe. Tell you what, they’re wasn’t many people there, but the ones there were there for a lethal dose. Full Blown Chaos started things out with a killer 1 hour set. Then the Joint hit the stage. Sounded really good where I was. 200 people showed and we made the best of it. We don’t give a fuck, 10 people or 100,000 people. (Would need serious drugs though, to get up in front of that many people.) WE LIKE TO JAM. It’s that simple. It’s in us always, in our veins, our blood, our spirit. I’m on the bus after the show and some guy just came in with grass, all kinds of shit. Don’t know if I trust him. He’s gone now...everything cool, overall tonight. I thought a complete success. We’ve never played Charleston, and they’ve never seen us. The cherry is popped. Lots of cool, down-home, Southern hospitality. Thank you Memphis Blues Cafe for having us, and maybe next time we’ll be doin’ blow with Billy Joel. Strange World, never know. Till then.

July 8th - Jimmy Bower
We got to Atlanta the next afternoon and enjoyed a day off. Personally, I don’t like days off, but they’re needed. It seems our guitar tech and a few other guys hit a karaoke bar for a pretty looped out night of Atlanta fun. Like I said, days off are needed. After proper rest, off to the Masquerade we went. If you know Atlanta, you know the Masquerade. One of the best clubs around, period. Granted, it is July, but goddamn it was hot! We could tell this by the sweat pouring from our support act Full Blown Chaos. They’re gonna do the rest of the tour with us. I think they’re on Jamie from Hatebreed’s label or something like that. Great band. Young, hungry, and they even like Carnivore. Some nights you do shows and they’re good...Atlanta was great. Last time we were there was our first gig since 1998. This time we were beyond ready. After a slew of cool opening bands, Full Blown Chaos hit the stage. I thought they did a good job. Good ole New York Hardcore. Warned of the heat on stage, we prepared for our show. Earlier in the day, Lord Belle and a few other friends of ours were hangin’ out. (Thanks Lord Belle, know what I mean.) Superjoint has many friends in Atlanta, and it was great to see all of you. Now the show....Sometimes shows are so good, vibe so right, just enough people to make for a magic night. Magic it was. New song, “Waiting for the Turning Point”, was definitely a highlight. It seemed we could do no wrong. A great show. Tons of diving and great pits. After the show, the usual smoke outs with fans and general talk of cool bands and metal coming back seemed to be the topic in the air. You can feel it. Feels like 1989, 1990. You just know good things are coming for heavy music. After long good-byes, we departed to Charleston, SC for another day off. Here now in bed writing this I hope you guys and gals dig this diary thing. I promise to give more details starting in Charleston. The idea was conceived today so what you have so far is what my memory allows. If you remember something cool, funny, or just plain stupid, go ahead and post it. Till then.

The Culture Room. I remeber playing there with EYEHATEGOD moons ago.Small place but talk about a vibe. Being our junior attempt at the Culture Room we felt right at home. Normal day, hung over, too hot and the bust of the infamous E-Bay guy. Boy this guy took us and many others for a loop. No more drama about this, but you fucked up boy, and I do mean boy. Back to the show, damn it was packed floor was full, balcony as well. From the start violence, chaos, and straight out participatioinfrom the crowd. They were ready and we delivered. Something about Florida you can't replace. It's musical history, unique people and their love for heavy music. After the show we took time to meet some fans got stoned with friends then loaded the bus for a long drive to HotAtlanta, Georgia. .

July 5th - Jimmy Bower
Next stop St. Petersburg, Florida. The famous State Theatre. God imagine the bands that have played there. Gives me goose bumps thinking of the heaviness that has been jammed on that stage. After a full day of setting up, soundchecking and sometimes being flat out bored the sun finally went down and the fun began. Pete from Morbid Angel came out to the show, thats always an adventure. Pete is definately one of a kind. One thing about the Tampa area is that it is full of great musicians. Show was great, lots of stage diving and just an all round good vibe. By this point in the tour all the proper candy and grass has been collected, so I guess you could say the ride to Ft. Lauderdale was OK.

July 4th - Jimmy Bower
Well to start things off we had to battle the remnants of Tropical Depression Bill, which made things quite tough!! Soon the water went down, we pulled the trailor from the mud and hit the highway. ORLANDO HERE WE COME!!! House of Blues on the Fourth of July. Guess you could say we were pretty excited. Left around midnight and had no problems getting there. The show that night was great. Better than the last time for sure. I remember lots of crowd participation and violent pits. Orlando rocked. Fireworks were cool.
